Bébécar Easymaxi XL – carrying handle detachment

Mar 27, 2019
Issue:

Some parts of the carrying handle of certain Bébécar EASYMAXI XL infant car seat (only the model numbers listed above) may not be properly attached.

Safety risk:

The handle could detach from the seat, posing a risk of injury to the infant.
If you have noticed that the carrying handle is loose, immediately stop using the seat. The seat should not be lifted or carried by the carrying handle until a new fastening system has been installed. However, the seat can still be safely used if it is installed in a vehicle or on a stroller.

Corrective measures:

A new attachment system will be installed free of charge to reinforce the handle. You can get the seat repaired at one of the three Bébérama locations listed below. You are entitled to a courtesy infant car seat upon request. A certified Bébérama technician will repair the seat within a week.

Meubles Adams will mail a notice to all owners of the affected models who registered their infant car seat. We encourage non-registered owners to register online by clicking on the following link to the online Bébécar seat registration page*.

Owners who have moved since their registration and/or living outside the province should contact Meubles Adams by phoning 1-877-376-9755 or emailing info@adams-ltd.com.
